A Little About Myself

Hi my name is Hayley I am a mature adult, with 3 grown up sons. My love for my 2 Lhasa Apso dogs Kiki 11, Cromwell (my stud dog) 6 and my new addition cockapoo Amora born September 22  2020. Their grooming needs, is what started my interest in grooming. In which I then decided, a complete career change, back to university college to study, and now here I am a fully qualified dog groomer. I achieved a high grade in level 2 and level 3 in city and guilds dog grooming. Covering all aspects from Health and safety, risk assessments, disease and disorders, first aid, grooming to pet and breed standard, and safe handling.

Additionally, I have been on many seminars, to further my knowledge within the industry.  Learning about specific breeds, and coat types. My next seminar is on Tellington touch (once covid safe), understanding behavior triggers, correct methods to approaching the dog, and ways to calm using your hands.

After volunteering in a few local salons, I decided I wanted to start my own business, within my own home, and have had a lovely purpose built fully equipped parlour, built to a high specification.

 My aim is to welcome each individual dog, into my parlour, giving them a calm, relaxed, unique experience. Having rest breaks, and toilet breaks. This is important, for your dog’s memory for his/her next visit. I want their time here at My Fur Lady to be a pamper experience, rather than the conveyor belt turnaround.
